Nazia's Cakes & Bakes - Established in 2018/19

Hi! My name is Nazia, I’m currently 17 years old and I am the founder of Nazia's Cakes & Bakes.  For the last 8 years I have been baking and decorating desserts just for fun. I really don’t know how I got interested in baking because my mom, dad or grandparents didn’t really bake. I think it was from watching the Food Network when I was younger. I started by making full course breakfasts for my mom, dad and brother. This is quite possibly the reason I developed the love of cooking and baking. Personally, I love to make and eat healthier foods. Now to me that doesn’t mean giving up butter, white flour, or anything like that. To me the start of healthier eating means no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. So for the last 3 years, I have pretty much committed myself to eating and baking foods without artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. Every single recipe you find in my book will be 100% natural, and desserts ordered will be natural (On Request).  In addition to baking, I have always enjoyed sports like karate and lacrosse. I also enjoy traveling, photography, and video production. As I got older I started to think about what I needed to do to share my baked goods. It was then I decided that I need learn photography. So I discovered that I naturally liked the film industry. I learned the basics in food photography and how to shoot my own photos. And now here I am! Running a business for the past 4 years. I still have a lot to learn about baking and I plan to keep learning. My advice to anybody who wants to try something new - just do it!
